Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris has tipped Arsenal to win the Premier League this season.
The Gunners were nine points clear at the top following their 3-0 victory over Sunderland, though Manchester City narrowed the gap to six points after a hard-fought 2-1 win against Liverpool on Sunday.
For Sunderland, Martin Zubimendi opened the scoring just before halftime, while Viktor Gyokeres added two second-half goals to secure the win for the Black Cats.
After the heavy defeat, Le Bris praised Arsenal’s squad depth and quality, telling Metro: “They’re really impressive. They’re well-organized, tough to beat, and have a lot of players who can step in and make a difference.
“This depth is important, especially with wingers and creative players, because they can change the game in the final moments. Often the game feels a bit different, players are more tired, and having those kinds of players allows you to go all the way. They are really impressive.”
