FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers: Cameroon cruise as Nigeria, others gain first-leg advantages

Cameroon delivered an impressive display in the first-leg fixtures of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup African qualifiers on Sunday.

The Indomitable Lionesses thrashed Botswana 5–0, taking firm control of their tie ahead of the return leg in the coming days.

Nigeria and Kenya also secured narrow wins, each claiming 1–0 victories over Senegal and Tanzania, respectively, giving them slim advantages heading into the second legs.

Meanwhile, Uganda drew with Zambia, and Guinea-Bissau shared the spoils with Malawi, leaving those ties finely balanced.

According to DAILY POST, the return legs are scheduled to begin on 13 February, with places at the U-20 Women’s World Cup finals still very much up for grabs.
