Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal set a new goal-scoring record in Europe’s top five leagues over the weekend.

The 18-year-old became the highest scorer under the age of 19 in the top five European leagues after netting against Mallorca in Barcelona’s 3-0 win.

Yamal surpassed Kylian Mbappé, who had scored 23 goals for AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain before turning 19 on 23 December 2017. The Spain international now has 24 goals to his name.

Behind Yamal and Mbappé on the all-time list are Wayne Rooney (15 goals), Valeri Bozhinov (14 goals), and Ansu Fati (13 goals).
