Danny Murphy names best attacking midfielder in Europe at the moment

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has praised Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, calling him the best attacking midfielder in Europe.

Murphy highlighted Fernandes’ standout performance against Tottenham in the Premier League over the weekend, noting it came after one of his poorest games the previous week against Fulham.

Speaking on BBC’s Match of the Day, Murphy said Fernandes’ ability to bounce back in important matches underscores his quality. “Bruno scored a great goal with a fantastic finish and had an excellent game overall, especially since he had one of his worse performances the week before,” Murphy said, as reported by Metro. “Right now, he’s probably the best number 10 player in Europe.”

Murphy also commended Manchester United interim manager Michael Carrick, saying the Englishman has had one of the strongest starts in the league. He added that the players appear confident and are enjoying themselves on the pitch.

“It will be really tough to keep up with these numbers; these are amazing numbers,” Murphy noted. “He’ll be a lot happier after ten games, but he couldn’t have asked for a better beginning. The team is playing great football, the fans are happy and supportive, and the players seem sure of themselves and are having fun.”
