
Kun Khalifat FC head coach Obinna Uzoho has praised his team’s performance following their 2-0 home win over Shooting Stars, PHCityHype reports.
The Owerri-based side secured the victory in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 25 clash at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Sunday. James Ekebuike opened the scoring in the 24th minute, with Blessed Iyamu doubling the lead just two minutes after the break.
Uzoho described the win as a reflection of his players’ hard work and dedication, while also thanking the home fans for their unwavering support.
“We’re delighted with the win; it’s a testament to the team’s hard work and dedication. Our players were at their best,” he said. “We’ve been working on our set pieces, and it paid off today. The crowd was fantastic, and we’re grateful for their support.”

Despite the victory, Kun Khalifat FC remain at the bottom of the NPFL table. The Oba Boys will face Barau FC away at the Sani Abacha Stadium in their next fixture.
